  • Our new 145.490 repeater went on the air September 1, 2011. The commercial grade rack mounted equipment consists of a Kenwood TKR-750  radio, CAT 1000 Controller, 100 watt Henry amplifier, duplexer and power supply. The antenna is feed with hard line and is mounted on the east side of the county communications tower, 80 feet above the Sandusky County EOC at 2323 Countryside Drive, Fremont, Ohio. The repeater and our radio room are located in the secure lower level of the complex with emergency power generator backup. The repeater will provide emergency communications for the citizens of Sandusky County when activated by the Emergency Management Agency Director. updated 1-2-12

  • We have completely updated our Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Radio Room at the Emergency Operations Center with new computers, LCD TV, HF tuner, wall maps and more. The new computers have StormLab and InterWARN weather software, FLDIGI communications software and internet access.
